9 SURPRISING THINGS YOU MUST KNOW ABOUT CANELLI YACHTS COMPANY
"Thoughts become things. If you see it in your mind, you will hold it in your hand." - Bob Proctor.
Like many companies, this one also started with a dream. Canelli Yachts Company is founded in 2012 by two Italian boys, Edoardo Ceccarelli and Maurizio Marzocca, who designed the Revolution 39, an original Italian concept boat due to his futurist front bow design.
In 2015 Guy Papillon becomes co-shareholder and has sold the first boat, model 39 Revolutio, which was described in the press as an idea’s laboratory. Unfortunately, this aesthetic audacity without consequences focused customers too much on this point to the detriment of the rest.
This failure was too much for the others, but Guy Papillon saw it as an experience and a huge learning curve for the models he had in mind and wanted to realise.
In 2020 Guy Papillon takes over all shares and followed his dream, to create a day boat which protect loved ones and gives the most luxurious space, reflecting his own personality, and it’s a honest mix of all the brands he has ever used and worked with.
This was the start of changes developed in collaboration with Carlos Vidal Design Studio and V2 Marine Design. Reinvigorated analysis and construction engineering to move from 2 IPS disks to a high-performance configuration with 3 Mercury 450Rs. Tanks relocated and complete weight study to balance the boat for outboard propulsion.
During the Miami Boat Show in February 2022 we launched the New Canelli 43, an 11.60 meters length boat with a balanced alchemy between elegance, comfort and space to offer an outstanding well-being to everyone on board.
We didn’t stop there. A smaller model, which reflect even more Guy Papillon convictions to offer and keep things simple and to avoid the ‘over-engineered’ solutions and unnecessary complexity. The latest entry is a high-performance 30-foot deep-V double-step hull offering agile performance while including 4 berths and a stand-up shower. Race boat hull below the waterline, luxury solarium above, with the largest forward settee on 30 feet.
Since June 2022, we work from our own buildings located on the edge of the Marche region in Eastern Italy. In fact, today we are a young Italian yacht company based on the considerable experience and mastery of Guy Papillon with the collaboration of an extraordinary team.
